The Budohoski Lab focuses on characterizing the genomic and transcriptomic pathways driving cerebrovascular disease process, and developing new treatment paradigms for patients with acute cerebrovascular pathology. We aim to provide precision medicine for some of the most challenging neurosurgical conditions.
Some of the most difficult to treat neurosurgical diseases involve blood vessels in the brain.
The Budohoski Lab prioritizes:
- characterizing the genomic and transcriptomic pathways driving cerebrovascular disease process
- developing new multimodal monitoring paradigms to provide real-time patient-specific treatment goals for those with acute cerebrovascular pathology (e.g., subarachnoid hemorrhage);
- developing endovascular capabilities and stroke thrombectomy pathways in low-resource settings
